day №6 - Pet Snake

It was believed, that a small snake protects every house, living under the threshold or in the wall. It was considered as a benevolent spirit. It appeared only to the youngest child of the family. By taking care of it in secret, an inseparable bond is sealed between them. Hence the snake must not be harassed or killed, otherwise the child will be hurt too.

day №5 - Restless Soul

All graveyard has its own #ghost, may it be a soldier who could never kiss his loved ones before his untimely end, a murderer grieving on his sins, or a cheated bride, a forlorn spirit still wearing her wedding dress, wailing on the bitter injustice what they done to her. 

day №4 - Learned Shepherd

The night air is filled with the howling and barking of dogs, you can hear it moving closer and closer. It is the Learned Shepherd, the malicious shepherd always surrounded with the heavy smoke coming from his pipe, filled with secret weeds and dried insects. With the power of this mist he can infect all dogs around him with rabies, and makes them to his servants.

day №3 - Incubus Chicken

As they say, if a person hetches a black hen’s first laid egg in his/her underarm, or in a dunghill, the chick will became an Incubus Chicken, a mighty creature living only to serve its master. Once you created such a #demon you have to take good care of it by feeding it with your own blood and let it sleep on your chest (instant sleep paralysis) but in exchange, it will bring anything you wish for.

day №2 - The Wicked Huntsman

Never misses a beast he’s aiming for, capable to take his game from any distance even if he’s got his back to it. He might not appear as a threat to you, but you shouldn’t want to cross his path, because once he is dead, he can return as a ghost with the power of summoning all the prey he has already shot.

I will join to this year’s Inktober challenge, so it’s time for creeps and spooky characters from Hungarian folklore. I decided to make my own prompt list, only because I feel, that in this way it is more likely that I will finish all 31 days.

day №1 -  Horse-skull headed ghost 
Sometimes it only appears in the distance, or you just hear its voice laugh, snap or whisper, but it can also weight down a carriage simply out of sheer depravity. If you meet with such a spectre on a dingy night, never look straight in its eyes, rather start cursing loudly, that will do the trick.

Watching childhood favorites when you are ill is probably the best remedy. Evelyn Carnahan and Rick O'Connell from the 1999’s The Mummy.

Eleven aka Jane Hopper as the Mage. I do hope that we will see the party playing DD in season 3.
